I hope it’s not cheating to use your telephoto for 90% of your concert shots, but I have to say I’m in love with my Sigma 70-200. I got into the venue about 10 minutes late so by the time I got in, the room was already packed and fans were bouncing to EMEFE, a spectacular 12-piece jazzy/jam band. One thing I like about Pearl St. is the raised platform that wraps from the back to the left of the room, which gives me a place where I can actually take photos above the crowd. And boy did I need that, because by the time Passion Pit came on, the place REALLY got packed. Despite the industrial electric fans, the entire room was humid and sweaty. But so much fun.
