Taking Dawn

Taking DawnOne of the reasons why I love a wide-angle lens: distortion of perspective makes rockers look like gods. This set actually had a rolling cloud of smoke that threatened my entire shoot. I managed to sneak a few in, in-between billows of smoke and this happens to be one of my favorite shots of the night. I was the only photographer of the night to catch the opening acts which was good for me; I was breaking in a new lens. This was taken with a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5.
